Step #1 Consultation

Step #3 Dental Cleaning

Teeth whitening should be done on clean teeth. You can schedule a dental cleaning a day or two prior to your whitening treatment or on the same day to remove plaque and surface stains that can hinder the whitening process.

Step #4 The Whitening Procedure

On the day of your procedure, Dr. Pal will place a special covering over your gums to avoid sensitivity from the whitening products being used. Then, we’ll apply a peroxide-based whitening gel to your teeth, distributing it evenly over each tooth surface to brighten your smile consistently. We may use a special light to activate the gel’s ingredients and expedite the whitening process.

We’ll leave the gel on your teeth for 15–20 minutes to give it time to break down stains that have accumulated on the enamel and dentin of your teeth. Then, we’ll rinse your teeth clean. This process is repeated two or three times until optimal whitening results are achieved. The entire procedure may take 60 to 90 minutes to complete.

Step #5 At-Home Follow Up

The results of dental whitening can last several years, with good oral care. Once your in-office treatment is done, we’ll offer you a take-home whitening kit for periodic touch-ups to keep your teeth looking their best. We’ll also provide valuable tips for preventing stains in the future.
